A. Karolina Palucka is at the BIIR. Before joining the BIIR, she completed the medical-oncology residency programme at the Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Institute of Oncology in Warsaw (Poland), and she obtained her Ph.D. in tumor immunology from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm (Sweden). She completed her postdoctoral training in dendritic-cell biology at the Immunology Laboratory of the Hospital Pitie-Salpetriere in Paris. Her interest is in dendritic cell biology in the context of cancer and utilizing dendritic cells as therapeutic vaccines in cancer and chronic infections. She is a full investigator and BIIR and holds the Michael A. Ramsay Chair for Cancer Immunology Research.
