Dr. Luca Vangelista spent over a decade in several European laboratories, in the commitment to characterize molecular and structural biology aspects of IgE, FceRI and recombinant allergens. In 2003 he moved to Milan where he joined Prof. Antonio Siccardi as an independent Scientist at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute and the Department of Biology and Genetics of the University of Milan. He is developing innovative strategies to combat tumors using exogenous IgE and its derivatives and is investigating the role of endogenous IgE in tumor surveillance.
